SAMH Centenary Dinner
This event is over

For 100 years, SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) has been Scotland’s national mental health charity.

Pre-dating the NHS, we can trace our roots back to the early 1900’s and the pioneering work of Dr Kate Fraser CBE, from Paisley. Dr Fraser’s dedication to improving the conditions and treatment of people with mental health problems was truly inspirational, and we keep her vision alive across Scotland’s communities every single day

Today, we operate over 70 services, which are person centred and based on an ethos of recovery, providing mental health social care support, homelessness, addictions and employment services. Together with national programme work in See Me, respect me, suicide prevention, and physical activity and sport, these services inform SAMH’s policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.
